Meal Information

One serve of TumsUp Moroccan Delight meets greater than 100% the Recommended Daily Intake (RDI) for Protein (161%) and 95% for Niacin. It meets greater than 2/3 the RDI for Vitamin C (85%), B6 (80%), Magnesium (68%) and provides 64% RDI for Selenium and 52% for Phosphorous.

In just one serve a child can obtain a large proportion of the Recommended Daily Intake for Vitamins A, C, B12 and the mineral zinc. These nutrients are essential for childhood growth, healthy skin and eyesight, nervous system development, and to boost immunity to protect cells and fight disease.

The Moroccan Delight is a good source of iron promoting healthy blood cells and facilitating oxygen delivery. Including meals high in iron are important because many children do not eat enough red meat and iron deficiency anaemia is common.

The fibre content of this meal is good providing almost ½ the amount considered adequate for a young child (42% AI). Fibre is important for bowl health and new research is showing the importance of healthy gut flora and the impact the gut microbiome has on many body systems including immune modulation.
